DO ISRAEL A FAVOR AND BACK OFF--PLEASE - APRIL 17, 2016

Don't want your honey and don't want your sting.

Published: Sunday, April 17, 2016 10:29 AM

Something feels rotten when Democrats start talking about Israel. Even their words of support sound fishy.

Bernie says, “Yes, Israel has a right to defend itself.” Wow. How generous. Keep it going like that and better than Brando in “On the Waterfront,” you will remain a contender. You will be somebody. But then he keeps talking and ruins everything. “But I question the disproportionate response.”

That’s approximately a direct quote. I couldn’t keep up as these two kept going at it during the Thursday night main event on CNN.

Well somebody had to watch it, and I did. I did it for you, to spare you the gibberish.  Yes this was some brawl between these two Democrat lightweights. Blitzer had to keep stepping in to keep them apart and the last time I saw anything like this was when Mike Tyson bit somebody’s ear off in the ring. (Evander Holyfield.)

The two contenders left standing for the Liberal side faced off over the banks, Wall Street, the economy, race relations, the minimum wage, gun control, but I can’t recall who was in favor of this or against that, because I do not believe a word of it anyway.

They’ll say anything to get elected and do unto us what Obama has been doing over the past nearly eight years – only double.

I do know that they love abortion, adore mass legal and illegal immigration, and have no problem with terrorists.

I took notes, but not fast enough to catch anything on foreign affairs, like say Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea or any of the other places that pose a danger to themselves and to the United States of America…not to mention Israel. My mistake. Israel is always mentioned. Israel always comes up.

The world has become a small place for Liberals. There’s us, and there’s Israel, and seldom in a good way. But hold on.

Hillary came back to say…I’m not sure what it was, but it sounded like she was taking Israel’s side, more or less.

Hillary, who takes advice from people like Sid Blumenthal and other anti-Israel hotshots, said Israel has a right to do anything to stop the bombing.

Which Hillary would we be getting if she gets herself to the White House heaven forbid? Bernie we know. Oh Bernie we know.
Or was that Trump? Yes it was Trump speaking someplace else. Go Trump!

But Hillary was not about to let Bernie get the upper hand on who’s the bigger fake Zionist.

She said, “Hamas uses human shields because Gaza is so densely populated. They have no choice.”

No, wait. That was January two years ago when Hillary excused Arab terrorism and placed the entire blame on the Jewish State.

Fast forward to Thursday night, and NOW she says quite the opposite, that Israel is on the spot against an enemy that uses every dirty trick in the book.

Or something like that, according to my notes. But clearly she was reaching for the Herzl Prize.

Which Hillary would we be getting if she gets herself to the White House heaven forbid? Bernie we know. Oh Bernie we know.

At a time when Israel needs a true and firm friend from the United States, both of these pretenders remain lukewarm, two-faced and hypocritical. Neither of them seems capable of getting it straight when
it comes Israel, a condition that seems to afflict so many Liberals from the top all the way across.

So why not just back off?

Israel, which ranks as the world’s sixth happiest country, does not need all that attention, not your curses or even your blessings.

As Rashi has it terms of an insect for the hypocritical Balaam: “I don’t want your honey and I don’t want your sting.”

TRUMP WON'T TANGO - MARCH 26, 2016

But Trump in the White House is Sinatra in the White House, temperamental, unpredictable, but loaded with talent and always true to his friends.

Published: Monday, March 28, 2016 8:18 AM

The question of the hour is whether Trump is presidential enough to be president. He’s too brash, too outspoken; lacks the dignity that fits the office.

Unanimously from Democrats and partly from Republicans, that’s what they say.

As someone who is ready to vote for Trump and keeps rooting for him, I have to admit that sometimes he makes it difficult. The latest flare-up between Trump and Cruz is simply cringe-worthy. Now it’s about their wives, or rather the other man’s wife. Ridiculous!

That sounds too much like yo mammaexchanges in the schoolyard, together with my daddy is bigger than your daddy.

At this rate Hillary waltzes right in. Prayers are needed that this should never happen.

So Trump may be the hand that we are dealt, and this may not be altogether bad. He’s abrasive, but he won’t be doing the tango in Argentina at a time when Americans are among the slain in Brussels. For that, watch Obama. If that’s presidential, we need the term redefined.

Whatever his shortcomings – and we do wish he’d catch his breath before the next scornful tweet – Trump is what he is.

He’s impertinent, loud, boastful, flashy, ready and able to cut down a foe with a searing quip (which he’s already done to 16 of them), but he can be counted on in a pinch, as we know from the many down on their luck who’ve benefitted from his generosity.

He can also be counted on to deliver on a promise, which we know from his success in business.

He’s outrageous. He thinks big, bold, daring. That’s what it takes to be top of the heap. He is defiantly successful. He is New York.

Trump is a New Yorker and being gruff is something only insiders understand. We get the joke. Often, toughness is a cover for warmth.

New York means “we take care of our own,” and that is Trump’s appeal. Americans (the un-dead and the un-Liberal) have been longing for this.

When Trump says he remembers 9/11 and how New Yorkers came together in a snap, he means what he says, and he means it for the entire country.

Trump would never bow to kings or emperors, as did Obama for the king of Saudi Arabia and the emperor of Japan.

Trump is a New Yorker and being gruff is something only insiders understand. We get the joke. Often, toughness is a cover for warmth.
How was that for presidential?

Trump would never snub the prime minister of Israel as Obama did at least three times.

Trump would crush BDS and the entire boycott-Israel movement if only because his Jewish grandkids will be heading for college soon enough.

Obama dreamed of a Jewish State sent packing to 1967 Auschwitz borders. Never Trump. I have it reliably that Trump would be a true friend of Israel.

Trump in the White House is Sinatra in the White House, temperamental, unpredictable, but loaded with talent and always true to his friends.

Loyalty – if that is all Trump brings, it would be enough to cover all his sins.

CONSERVATIVE INFIGHTING COULD HAND DEMOCRATS AN UNDESERVED VICTORY - MARCH 16, 2016

If Conservatives keep bickering, they may hand us over by default to the scofflaw Hillary Clinton.

Published: Wednesday, March 16, 2016 6:00 AM

Chalk this one up for the Liberals. They’ve ignited so much chaos at Trump’s rallies that they’ve got Conservatives fighting among themselves.

Liberals seldom fight among themselves. Mindlessly they go with the herd.

Conservatives clash. Or as Descartes would have it -- I think therefore I am a Conservative. I think therefore I am pro-America, pro-Israel.

So what’s up with the Breitbart flap as it concerns some reporters? Plenty. But first the headlines.

I’ve got a headache. I just listened to a Hillary victory speech.
Trump has taken the Florida primary and gets all 99 delegates. That’s huge. Hillary also took Florida but nobody cares. The fix is in. She is destined to win the nomination for her side because the Democrat power brokers say so and Liberals always follow the leader. They dare not dissent.

It’s a form of mind control we find in such Progressive flunkies as Juan Williams and Alan Colmes.

Republicans differ. They tend to be selective and think for themselves. This does cause dissent. But give-and-take is what Democracy is all about. Republicans are not robots and Ohio went not to Trump, but to John Kasich last night, and so for Trump the rumble has just begun.

This is good for America. Let the best man win, though outside of Trump, who?

Please let’s not argue as to whether Trump is a true Conservative. We’ve covered this already and I’ve got a headache. I just listened to a Hillary victory speech.

What they’ve got is a migraine over there at Breitbart, for some time the go-to site for Conservative news and views, political correctness be damned, which makes it a perfect fit for Trump, which is precisely where things went wrong. Editors and reporters have started leaving the online newsroom feeling that it’s too much in the bag for Trump.

If so, Ohio was not a success. Other than that, it was a good night for Trump and for Breitbart, but not for one of its reporters.

The trouble started in Florida at one of those Trump rallies. Trump was in top form, the crowd was exhilarated and peaceful – and then came the thugs.

These are the same thugs who disrupt our campuses. Yes, BDS and SJP -- and when they get bored bullying Jewish kids they find other soft spots.

They found Trump.

When they show up anything can happen, and it did. There was pushing and shoving and in the middle of it all a Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields claimed that she was pushed and shoved. Not by one of them. But by a Trump campaign manager. She expected her bosses to support her.

Instead, she claims, they supported Trump. So she quit. So did a few more staffers, notably Ben Shapiro, who’s often seen on Fox News with Megyn Kelly.

Whose side to take?

I can’t say. In fact I dare not say. Something happened. It’s like any family squabble. Wisdom says outsiders should keep out.

It’s not our business but it would be a shame to lose the clear-headed energy that’s been coming from Breitbart.

Energy is the word when it comes to the news business. Editors and reporters are in a mad dash to get it first and get it right.

Friction happens as I tell it first-hand in this newsroom thriller.
Shapiro has been a particularly strong voice for Israel and it would be a waste to lose him within Breitbart or out.

Mostly, it would be a shame if Conservatives keep bickering and in so doing hand us over by default to the scofflaw Hillary Clinton.

We can’t make the same mistake again. From Breitbart onward Conservatives need to patch things up to make amends for the past eight years.

The New York Times has already given the Breitbart dispute Front Page, so you know they are chortling and dancing in that newsroom.
Patching it up has been Trump’s latest plea, and he asked for it again last night.

Imagine John Kerry back as secretary of state and more humpy dumpty deals like the one he made for us with Iran.

Can’t have Liberals get the last laugh.

The New York Times has already given the Breitbart dispute Front Page, so you know they are chortling and dancing in that newsroom.

Every voice that advocates for America and champions for Israel is precious and must be handled with care.

WHY TRUMP AND ONLY TRUMP CAN BEAT HILLARY - MARCH 10, 2016

The others are good guys, but no one knows them.

Published: Thursday, March 10, 2016 9:45 PM

The crux of it is that Hillary Clinton is the most famous woman in America. To beat her in the general election you will need someone equally famous.

Does the name Kasich come to mind? Rubio? Cruz?

Americans don’t know these people.

They’re good guys, as good as anyone, I suppose, but they are strangers and have no shot.

You and me – we watch Fox News, occasionally CNN and MSNBC for the laughs, but our neighbors are watching “Dancing with the Stars.”

So it’s Trump and only Trump and only Trump is as well-known as Hillary the crook.

It should not be that way, I know. It should be about issues and sometimes it is, but mostly it isn’t. It’s about fame.

Anybody will do so long as that yenta doesn’t get it in.
Americans – we gravitate to fame. Maybe it’s the same all over, but in this country it’s like King Solomon said; a good name is more precious than silver and gold.

Don’t look to me for an endorsement. So this is not a pitch to Vote Trump.

This is a pitch to vote for anybody except Hillary.

Anybody will do so long as that yenta doesn’t get it in. Imagine getting up in the morning to that scold! Four years of that? Eight years?

Republicans who say they are staying home if Trump gets the nomination, your peeve, your snit may well come crashing upon all our heads.

How stupid! How selfish!

So happens that I do like Trump; liked him from the start. He’s too brash, too unscripted? That’s what I like. No teleprompter for him.

We’ve already got the perfect politician sitting in the White House – how’s that working out?

Ditto Hillary the opportunist. She’ll say anything to make a sale. Even people who vote for her do not like her. Nobody likes her. Bill doesn’t like her and what a disgrace to find a former President of the United States, instead of sitting grandly retired, there he is, from coast to coast, reduced to pimping for votes.

No wonder. She needs all the help she can get, so in this age where everybody gets a gold star, she calls it a triumph even when she loses.

The other day she lost Michigan to Bernie Sanders, the Communist Senator from Vermont. Did she give a concession speech?

No, she gave a victory speech.

The Republicans do likewise. Kasich, Cruz and Rubio keep losing and keep explaining how it is they really won.

They give victory speeches for coming in second, third and fourth.

No guys, you lost. Trump won.

To keep him going and to save us from Hillary or any Democrat in the next White House – think Hollywood.

When the studios spend millions to bring out a picture they need a big name, a star, to “open.”

To “open” means to attract moviegoers with a familiar name, like say Tom Hanks, and thus guarantee automatic box office.

Yes, Tom Hanks can open for the movies.

Donald Trump and only Donald Trump can open for the White House.

STOPPING BERNIE: WHERE ARE THE ANTI-SEMITES WHEN WE NEED THEM? - FEBRUARY 11, 2016

Bernie is not harmless, he is dangerous, and for more reasons than one.

Published: Thursday, February 11, 2016 9:40 AM

Seriously? Yes, seriously. After trouncing Hillary in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders could go all the way – even to the White House.

Never thought I’d say that, but there it is, kids, and speaking of kids, 84 percent of the Youth Vote went to Bernie.

College kids love him, which makes no sense. Do they know he’s Jewish?

From the Campus Front Lines we have it that our universities are turning out a generation of anti-Semites, due to an infiltration, a plague, an infestation of brutes sent over from Arab lands… Yes, BDS, SJP or whatever else they call themselves to make life miserable for Jewish students.

So with that many of the non-Jewish (and some Jewish) young infected with the virus – how to explain their love for Bernie?

Or are we mistaken? It’s really not that bad for Jewish kids on campus. Oh but it is. It’s terrible. I’ve just met a few sophomores and seniors. We talked.

Bernie is mostly anti-Israel, and that makes him cool.
Later I will disclose some possible solutions we arrived at to combat the terror on campus, but meanwhile there’s Bernie.

They’re all in for Bernie despite everything. He’s Jewish but among anti-Semites it’s okay to be Jewish so long as you are not too Jewish.

Bernie is mostly anti-Israel, and that makes him cool. He boycotted Bibi’s address to Congress, is for splitting Israel in half and against supplying the Jewish State with needed weaponry. Did you hear? In his 50-minute New Hampshire victory speech he paused from politics for a personal touch.

He said that he was brought up by parents who came from Poland, period. So he was raised by Polish parents. Not Jewish. Necessarily.

Please notice that campus bullies never target Polish students. So Bernie left it at that and the kids kept cheering.

Do they know anything else about him? Well, he is not Hillary and between you and me, that could be his big secret. Nobody likes Hillary.

It is no secret however that he is a socialist, which makes him a Communist. I am still catching raves and flak from what I wrote about all this in a recent column. But I repeat that this country cannot afford another Democrat in the White House, neither Hillary nor Bernie.

Do they love Bernie because he appears to be a harmless old man? Socialists are never harmless, old or young.

Obama is young and look what he did to us.

Do they love Bernie because he intends give everything away for free, even college tuition?

Kids adore that kind of talk. Kids tend to be Liberal. Later they will be asked to pay 90 percent of their incomes for taxes. (Bernie says so.)

Meanwhile they are young, young and in love, in love with Bernie.

No, appearances to the country, Bernie is not harmless. Bernie is dangerous.

So are all those 1960s Radicals who aim to bring back some of that old time religion, Liberal Dogma, the hazards of which we covered in thisthriller that foretold the damage being done to our young through professorial, political and cultural indoctrination. That is why the kids know nothing. They sure don’t know socialism.

People who love the idea of a Jewish President – do you know what you are asking?  His first job will be to prove how un-Jewish he can be. Think Kissinger.

If you think Israel is in the doghouse now with President Obama, just wait for President Sanders.

When he makes a mistake, as Presidents always do, he won’t be a liberal anymore. He won’t be Polish. He will be a Jew.

If by chance he shows any sign of favoritism for the Jewish State, be prepared for anti-Semites to come storming out of the closet.

Better, I say, to have them show their true colors now, or better yet, disperse and disappear.

Rather now than later, when it will be too late.

US AND ISRAEL: CANDIDATES BUT NO VISIONARIES

US and Israel: Candidates but no visionaries

Where are the Reagan's who make us gaze forward?
Published: Tuesday, February 09, 2016 9:28 AM

Anything missing from these debates? Or am I the only one who seeks but cannot find a vision, a sense of destiny among the candidates?

Promises, yes. But nothing to make us dream that even the sky is not the limit as we had it from JFK and Ronald Reagan.

That goes for both sides, Republicans and Democrats. Neither gives much besides tired rhetoric and clichés.

That, plus the sniping, the snarling and the feuding, as if making your opponent look bad makes you look good.

So what’s in it for us if Jeb got even with Trump? In football, yes, Cam Newton got his comeuppance. But we are talking about the future of the world’s two, yes two, great citadels of democracy, the United States and Israel, the only powers capable of saving the universe from total collapse into the arms Islamic strangulation.

Instead of gazing forward, politicians here and there have lost or forfeited the ability to THINK BIG.

Israel’s formidable man of gallantry Yaacov Katz wrote a wonderful piecein Arutz Sheva the other day where he listed his own complaints in respect to Israel’s wobbled sense of direction. He produced the perfect quote that sums it all up for both Israel and America, as follows from Proverbs 29:

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

At about the moment that went to print, we heard from Israel’s Labor leader Yizhak Herzog that Israel has to start thinking small.

Retreat is not a vision, Mr. Herzog.

Nobody dreams about moving backwards, Liberals the exception. People need a reason to get up in the morning. So do nations. To aspire is to be human.

The Jewish State, in Liberal eyes, is too big. The Arabs don’t have enough room. The Arabs surround Israel with 22 countries, but that is still not enough.

They need half of Jerusalem and whatever else Liberals wish to give – which is plenty and a recipe for national suicide. Bibi himself will never dare speak of enlarging Israel. Israel is denied, or rather denies itself the quest of greatness, and that is a pity.

Which takes us to the comedy team of Bernie versus Hillary and Bernie was funny all right with Larry David on SNL and that’s where he ought to stay.

The Communist from Vermont was cut out for buffoonery. “Saturday Light Live” was made for silliness and is there anything sillier than a man running for president on the chance to raise taxes to incredible heights (up to 90 percent) for anybody who is rich?

For Bernie, anybody who earns a living, even paycheck to paycheck, is rich and too prosperous and must be punished.

That’s a vision?

Hillary? I have no idea what the hell she has in mind. We only know that she is trying to stay out of jail. That’s her vision.

I call a plumber when I need things fixed. From leadership I want some poetry.
What plans she has besides doing to us what Obama has already done – I don’t know. Obama got to us first, anyway.

We do know that thinking small is what got Obama into office. He came. He saw. He shrunk us at home and abroad.

Not so the Republicans, thank goodness. Give it to Trump to pick it up from Reagan to “make this country great again.”

Meaning what? When JFK promised us “a new frontier” he meant that America was ready to reach for the moon. He promised. He delivered.

Trump may still be my man. I like his swagger. Am I sure about him? No. But if nominated, I will vote for him, or for any Republican.

I like all of them on the GOP side. But I am not sold. I am not sure about any of them. None of them offers a big picture.

Republicans are friendly to Israel far above Democrats but Trump’s assertion that he would force Israel to make concessions is a worry.

Mostly it’s been about the economy, okay, and immigration, good, and Radical Islam, terrific. They are all about “fixing things.”

I call a plumber when I need things fixed. From leadership I want some poetry.

Reagan’s “shining house on the hill,” now that was poetry. That was vision. He gave us pride, prosperity and power.

He talked big. He produced big. How about some of that rubbing off on today’s hopefuls lest we perish?

FOX NEWS SUSPENDS ANGRY AMERICANS--THOUGH NOT TRUMP - DECEMBER 10, 2015

More San Bernardino fallout - Our president has taught us that Islamophobia is our biggest danger, not the Islamists themselves.

Two reliable commentators for Fox News, Ret. Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash have been disciplined by the top-rated cable network for using language unsuitable for broadcast. I watched it and was not offended and the dog did not hide under the bed. But rules are rules, I guess.

They’ve been suspended two weeks for blurting out expletives that I use every day while driving.

I used the same profanities while listening to Mr. Obama when, after the murder of 14 Americans at the hands of Radical Islamists, he gives a speech warning us against Islamophobia. In fact Jews take the brunt of hate crimes ten to one over Muslims but the president NEVER says anything about THAT.

Peters and Dash had the same reaction that I did, obviously, about the speech and frankly – about everything, every damned thing.

We are fed up. For seven years we’ve been pushed around and it is not just about Radicalized Muslims.

It’s about a near-decade of scandals and cover-ups and media complicity that’s been shoved down our throats, and America is angry.

Don’t be amazed why Trump is doing so well. You don’t have to cheer everything he says. (I don’t.)

After the San Bernardino attack we needed an emotional response. Obama failed. Trump delivered. (Ban Migrant Islam.)

Assume that he goes too far and says too much, but he does not fiddle, and he has tapped into the heart of our frustration. Ditto Peters and Dash.

We’ve been waiting for SOMEBODY, anybody, to howl, “Mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.”

Americans are angry about waking up every morning to a country they hardly recognize.

Black lives matter, sure, and Muslims deserve tolerance and equality. Of course. But how about the rest of us, hello, do we count?

Black lives matter, sure, and Muslims deserve tolerance and equality. Of course. But how about the rest of us, hello, do we count?

Do you mind if we salute our troops and high-five our cops rather than tear them down?

Lately indeed it’s about Islam. Are we permitted to be steamed about what happened in San Bernardino? No. Our attorney general, Loretta Lynch, says that Islamophobia is her “greatest concern” and that if we don’t watch our language she is prepared to prosecute.

What country is this? It is precisely that kind of heavy-handedness that’s been crushing us over the years.

Except for the Democrats. The Left is angry against nobody except Republicans.

We are still waiting for them to be as outraged against the San Bernardino Radical Muslim killers as they are against Trump who never killed anybody.

Say this about Trump, and I make no political argument here as to the best choice for the GOP.

But at a time when the Silent Majority had no voice, he gave it a voice.

It is okay to speak up. It is all right to be fed up. That is where Trump differs and succeeds and why Peters and Dash are being lauded along social media.

For nearly a decade we’ve been getting an America we never asked for…and we sure are not asking for 25,000 to 85,000 ready-made anti-Semites to enter the country -- from Syria or from any place where they breed intolerance, death over life, mindless brutality over sanity.

They are coming for us as they keep coming for the Israelis and finally we know what it’s like to face Radical Islamic Jihad at home, at work or at play.

I keep saying that what happens in Israel does not stay in Israel. I say it here elaborately, that the Jihad that bedevils the Jewish State is the same Jihad that keeps on coming within our own borders, from Jerusalem to New York to San Bernardino.  They are the same people, the same terrorists.

Trump himself needs to rethink his position about forcing the Israelis into making further sacrifices.

Been there, done that and the Jews, we have sacrificed more than our fair share. Don’t get me started.

Get it straight who the enemy really is, what’s to be done and where to direct our indignation.

Direct it against “the dumb bastards” who pose the real threat, the Jihadists, to borrow from Gen. George S. Patton.

Pardon my French.
